Trinkets

A miniature compass, worry dolls, toy pig, tiny glass bottle, dollhouse scissors, miniature dice, and a red toy car surround a shell filled with an assortment of childhood treasures: a tiny teddy bear, jade lion, ceramic good-luck cat, turquoise and brass rings, and a tiny bell. Drawn from the artist’s own childhood collection, Trinkets preserves the seemingly insignificant objects that children assign enormous value to—and the memories that allow them to remain precious long after childhood has passed.
