Battleship

USS Alabama sits in profile, reduced from a 680-foot battleship to a miniature painting only inches wide. Permanently moored in Mobile Bay, the ship has become part of the visual landscape of Mobile itself; here, that local landmark is painted onto another surviving piece of the Bay’s material history.
