Three miniature oil paintings on historic Mobile Bay pottery fragments, hand-collected along the Eastern Shore and displayed in brass and glass shadow box. 6x8x2”
Watching Southern Charm paints a version of Charleston I definitely didn't experience as a kid. But coming back as an adult? I get it now. The whole Peter Pan Syndrome thing makes sense-Charleston really is Neverland for grown-ups.
It's not all moonlight and magnolias, though. The cobblestone streets will ruin your ankles, and the air smells like history... in the worst way. But still-there's something magnetic about being a little lost downtown, glowing under old gas lamps, having a little mischief in the Holy City. It just hits different.
