Honey, Please

Honeycomb, blue cheese, and grapes are arranged as a tiny snack on a silver tray. Rather than treating the pottery fragment as a flat surface, Honey, Please. uses its existing curvature to create the form of the tray, with the painting continuing over the fragment’s edge to define the decorative silver rim. The original shape of the found object becomes part of the composition itself.
