Eye of the Storm

Crashing waves, an anchor chain, wind-bent palms, blown dunes, and rain striking a roof surround the unexpected stillness of a swing during a storm. Painted across six fragments of historic stoneware, Eye of the Storm captures the strange contrast familiar along the Gulf Coast, where violent weather can briefly give way to an almost unsettling calm.
